COVID-19 vaccine in Aiken

Last Thursday dozens of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in Aiken to local residents, and everyone is excited.

CVS is now offering the COVID-19 vaccine at many of its locations around South Carolina, and that includes Aiken. A total of 15,674 COVID-19 vaccines, which includes first and second doses, have been administered in Aiken County.

As of now University Health Care System is accepting reservations only for residents who are age 65 and older who have seen a University Hospital physician in the past 18 months.

Appointments will be made online. Appointments cannot be made over the phone.

CVS Health also announced that they will begin offering COVID-19 vaccines at 17 locations across South Carolina. The exact Aiken CVS location or locations is unknown. The list of specific stores in South Carolina will be available on CVS’s Website as stores receive shipment of the vaccine and appointments become available.

Augusta University Health will also be holding a vaccination clinic at Aiken Technical College, residents can visit AU Health’s website for more information about appointments.
