Sports continue to dominate attention over the pandemic, with the Super Bowl LV starting and Pacers athletics teams still on the rise.
The USC Aiken’s Pacers basketball team went head to head with Georgia Southwestern’s Hurricanes.
There was a strong start with Pacer’s leading at 18-6 after Tyler Johnson’s 3-pointer at the 1st 12:28. The first half was over with a strong score of 35 (Home) - 33 (Guest), after the Hurricanes scored a bonus shot in the last 25 seconds.
The second half began more energetic than the first, but ended up with a tie on the scoreboard as the Pacers scored 32 points while the Hurricanes caught up with 34.
In the last five minutes of overtime, the Hurricanes shot 12 points over the Pacers’ 9 and win with a final score of 79 (Hurricanes) to 76 (Home), ending the close game.

There are few people in attendance at the games, with the ones attending at an appropriate distance for the CDC guidelines.
Athletes actively participating are expected to not wear masks, but benched players could be seen without face masks worn, additionally other on-court members.
