Weather Report 01/17/22 - 01/23/22
Monday
To start the week, we have high winds at 20 mph at 44 degrees for our high and a low of 26 degrees. I suggest to dress as warm as possible if you’re going outside. Being that it is a holiday, take the day off! Snuggle up and watch a movie with some hot cocoa because bitter winds are coming.
Tuesday
We have sunshine and rainbows with a high of 52 degrees and a low of 29 degrees. Winds are predicted to be a nice, cool breeze at 5 mph. Dress warm and bring a jacket and dress light under because you don’t want to heat up too much in class! (sorry, I know we don’t want to think about class).
Wednesday
This hump-day, we have partly cloudy skies with a high of 59 degrees and a low of 42 degrees. Winds are going to pick up to 10 mph, so the high will feel like 40 degrees. Humidity is up to 60% so wear something light under that jacket.
Thursday
For Thursday we have a grim, dark day with overcast and rain showers throughout. We have a high of 53 degrees and a low of 29 degrees. Winds will be 9 mph, so the high will feel like 35 (and torture). Humidity is at 80% so there is really no way we can be comfortable. Dressing light underneath something heavy is my only suggestion.
Friday
It’s the day we have all been waiting for. The south rarely sees this, but when we do, a celebration of tiny snowmen are bound to happen. Yes, snowmen! It’s a snow day! We have a high of 32 degrees and a low of 22 degrees. Winds will blow between 10 to 20 mph. Find that snow jacket that you haven’t worn for 5 years and make some snow angels. These weather conditions are uncommon here, so many people don’t have the utilities to handle snow. Try to keep yourself off of the road, but if you have to drive - stay under the speed limit and keep your headlights on. Stay safe and have a great snow day!
Saturday
To start the weekend, we have scattered clouds and a high of 39 degrees with a low of 21 degrees. The chance of rain is at 24% and there will be a chance of snow that night. Winds will blow at 9 mph so dress warm, enjoy the weekend, and hopefully the snow!
Sunday
It’s Sunday fun-day! Sunshine and clouds are in the sky with a high of 42 degrees and low of 20 degrees. There is an 18% chance of rain during the day and an 8% chance of snow that night. Winds will blow between 5 and 10 mph. Have your overcoat ready and enjoy the end of your week!
