Guide to Women's Business Casual
What is business casual? Business casual is dressing professionally and nicely without getting overly dressed up. The rule of thumb when dressing for a Business Casual event is no ripped jeans, no shorts, no short dresses, no short skirts, and no t-shirts. Typically for women, it is better to look for blazers, nice pants, khakis, long skirts, cardigans, long dresses, heels, or semi-dressy flats.
The only problem is business casual attire can get expensive, especially when it is not attire typically found in a young adult’s wardrobe. Here are some options that will not break the bank:
· Amazon: Amazon is great because they have a large selection that ranges in price from $9-$100.
· H&M: H&M is great for young adults that want to dress business casual while still staying stylish and trendy. They now have a business line available online that shows exclusively business casual attire, which makes things easier for someone that doesn’t know where to start.
· TJ Maxx, Ross, and Marshalls: These stores are notorious for their massive discounts on expensive brands. Instead of spending $60 on a blazer a much cheaper alternative can be found here. All three stores have a constant rotation of clothing items and tons of choices, which makes it easy to update your wardrobe without spending tons of money.
· Pinterest: This is a great resource for finding inspiration for outfits. Tons of boards are scattered with trendy and professional pictures. This can help bring an outfit together.
