Achievement Spotlight: Elizabeth "Eli" Basile
Elizabeth ‘Eli’ Basile is a senior Middle-Level Education major with a concentration in math.

Basile was recently announced as 2022’s Outstanding Middle-Level Teacher Education Candidate by the National Association for Professors of Middle-Level Education (NAPMLE). She was recently presented with this award at the Association for Middle-Level Education (AMLE) conference held in Orlando, Florida.
Basile has been supported in her journey by several people, including Dr. Deborah McMurtrie and Dr. Bridget Coleman who also attended the conference.

Basile shared her excitement for receiving this award, talking about how much it means to her, as well as how memorable it was.
“I was incredibly executed because it is a very prestigious award that I did not think I was going to receive. Meeting teacher candidates from around the nation and being able to swap perspectives as future educators were the most memorable thing from the experience.” -Elizabeth Basile
