Dorm Dash: Italian Sub
Sometimes we all get a craving for a sub from the station but it is closed on weekends and in the evenings. Do you want to know how to make an amazing sub in your dorm in only twenty minutes? Come find out an amazing recipe!
Ingredients
Bread (Recommend getting a sub bread)
Butter
Pepperoni
Salami
Provolone Cheese
Italian Dressing
Lettuce
Tomato
Onion
Extra: Shredded Cheddar if you want to make your bread a cheesy bread
Recipe
To start off, cut the sub bread in half and toast. Coat it in a light spread of butter before toasting. If you want cheesy bread, don’t forget to add shredded cheddar to the bread! Keep in there until toasted lightly and is golden brown.
While the bread is toasting let’s start with the meats. The best thing to do is to steam your meats and cheese to get it nice and warm. Set it all together and start steaming on the stove. Salami should be on the bottom, followed by pepperoni and then topped with provolone cheese. If you want to add any peppers to your sub, this would be a great step to add them in!
Your bread should finish toasting before the meat and cheese get fully steamed. Lay out on a plate and start adding the toppings. Put on some lettuce and then cover it in some Italian dressing. Follow that by adding sliced onions and sliced tomato. If you have any other toppings, make sure to add them before you finish! This sub goes great with honey mustard if you have any.
Once the meats and cheese finish steaming, get it put onto the sub with the cheese touching the top side of the bread. Adding oregano to the cheese before is a great choice if you have any!
Once you have it put together, voila, you have a delicious Italian sub!
Hopefully you enjoy this recipe and remember you can change this recipe around to fit whatever type of food you are wanting. This is a great meal to make if you are hungry and want to make something in your dorm.
