There are two forms of diabetes:
Type 1, which occurs when the body does not produce enough insulin.
There is no known cause for type 1 diabetes. It is an auto-immune disease in which the pancreas does not effectively do its job of producing insulin.
Symptoms to be aware of:
Fatigue
Blurry vision
Weight loss
Overly frequent urination
Increased thirst and hunger
Type 2, which occurs when the body does not process insulin.
Type 2 diabetes is typically caused by low activity levels, having pre-diabetes or being overweight.
Most people who have diabetes have type 2.
Symptoms to be aware of:
Fatigue
Blurry Vision
Overly frequen urination
Slowly healing wounds
Weight loss
Increased thirst
Both of these types keep the body from regulating normal blood sugar levels, which is extremely dangerous.
In order to avoid type 2 diabetes, it is crucial to live an active and healthy lifestyle.
