Interview With Ta'Nedria Butler About Diversity in Student Events
Student surveys show that the lack of diversity events on campus may have led to low student participation rates following COVID-19.
Ta’Nedria Butler currently serves as the assistant director of Student Leadership and Engagement and joined the USC Aiken staff in June 2022.
Butler obtained her bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science at USC Aiken and went to Capella University for her master’s degree in nonprofit management and leadership. In her undergraduate years, Butler joined Zeta Phi Beta at USC Aiken in the Phi Chi chapter and is now in the chapter Iota Lambda Zeta in Aiken, SC.
“I try to make sure that positions are diverse and that there is a representation for everyone on campus,” -Butler on why diversity in campus events is important
