Creed III Film Review
On Thursday I went to the Aiken Regal Cinema to watch “Creed III”. It is a third-party series of the trilogy Creed produced initially by Sylvester Stallone but this is Michael B. Jordan’s first directed film. In this film, Adonis Creed’s old friend Damian Anderson returns and wants a shot for the heavyweight championship title.
Adonis gives him a chance to get in the ring but finds out that he betrayed him. Adonis and Damian go head to head for the heavyweight championship title and battle for the city of Los Angeles.
This film’s boxing scenes are more intense than any of the Creed and Rocky movies. You see Adonis and Damian are locked in a mental battle as the scene shows them fighting in an empty arena. Sylvester Stallone’s character, Rocky Balboa, is absent in the film. The movie showcases Adonis being supreme in boxing and he basked in his success.
What I really liked about this movie is how Adonis and his wife Bianca communicate with their daughter Amara using sign language. Amara expressed her interest in fighting and Adonis began to teach her about the principles of boxing.
Overall I will rate the 8 out of 10, this a great movie with an underlying message about mental strength and friendship.
