With swaths of information overwhelming the internet, one thing that remains is the presence of conspiracy theories around sensitive topics. Here are the top ten hidden facts— uh, we mean, conspiracy theories — of COVID-19.

1. COVID-19 was man-made by the pharmaceutical world so that they could develop a vaccine in order to make billions over the health care industry and the uninsured.

2. The Democrats did this to get Donald Trump out of office.

3. COVID-19 is a plot by Republicans to wipe out the elderly population to lower Medicare costs.

4. The virus is a weapon of mass destruction created by the Chinese government to wipe out the general population.

5. Because of the produced heat, bathroom hand-dryers will effectively kill the coronavirus.

6. The coronavirus isn’t actually a “virus,” but 5G cell towers killing people. China was the first to build these, and their deaths came in first; now it’s hitting across the globe.

7. Charmin is behind the whole thing.

8. COVID-19 is Mother Earth teaching humans a lesson.

9. Aliens. All I have to say.

10. Nature is mad at us, and this is its way of telling us to chill out, or we’re going down
