State of COVID-19 in Aiken, SC
Currently, the most recent reported data is on Jan. 15, 2021, Aiken County reported two COVID-19 cases related to deaths and 59 new cases. Cases are expected to continue to rise across the state and locally.
Aiken Regional Medical Centers, ARMC, released a statement on Wednesday, Jan. 13, saying that it has confirmed 1,030 cases of COVID-19 at its hospital. Forty-one of these individuals are currently receiving care and 88 of these individuals have passed away.
According to the Aiken Standard, Aiken’s average number of daily cases and the percentage of positive tests is increasing, but the number of weekly tests has gone down slightly.
