Welcome to the fourth week of classes, Pacers.

This week in Pacer Times includes an editorial, an alumni spotlight, updates on CDC guidelines and USC Aiken choral and athletic programs and a plethora of lifestyle and entertainment pieces.

Pacer Times discussed their opinions on online classes, and how students should still have the option to attend virtually.

Alumni James Kelly was interviewed by our reporter on his acclaimed children’s book inspired by his daughter and reflected on the editing and publishing process. Kelly attributed his success to USC Aiken and a particular professor. You can read his book here: https://www.amazon.com/Just-Kid-James-Kelly-ebook/dp/B09QT7P5RS/ref=sr_1_1?qid=1643654355&refinements=p_27%3AJames+Kelly&s=books&sr=1-1

In Arts and Entertainment, Editor Alex Molina comes out with another album review, this week being “Free Jazz.” In the words of Molina, “jazz has always challenged the established status quo set by white composers of European descent in ways of instrumentation, polyrhythms, improvisation and complex chord structures.”

Co-Editor-in-Chief Jillian Hicks shares a piece of her Wiccan culture with a brief explanation on Imbolc, a tradition celebrated from sun up to sun down on February 1.

If your dorm still doesn’t quite feel like home, check out “Dorm Decor” by Brianna Richbourg for some quick and inexpensive remedies for drabby dorm walls.

In news, updates on fourth floor reconstruction in Pacer Crossings is covered, as well interviews with Directors of Athletics and Choral programs on their preventative techniques for COVID.

In total, there are a total of 14 articles on the site, all from breaking news to reviewing sports.

Pacer Times wants to thank the student body for reading our content, our analytics have improved with each week and we couldn’t publish without your support!
