Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Review

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were just released!

This new game dropped on November 18th, 2022, so it is a recent release! This is the beginning of generation nine! 

There has been a lot of excitement about the game for various reasons. 

First, this is the first fully open-world Pokemon game! Pokemon Legends Arceus semi-open world, but not on the level Scarlet and Violet are. This feature is one that fans have been looking forward to for a while.

Another cause for excitement lies in the different paths to follow. The game does not force you down a specific path and offers three paths to pursue (which you can do all simultaneously!)

However, there has been some backlash since the release due to some graphic issues. The game has a higher lag than previous features, which has caused some fans to hold off on buying until it is updated.

After playing some of the game, it has a lot of new things that are overall really enjoyable in terms of the new experience. There is a fun minimap as you explore, new Pokemon to catch and train and tons of fun new quests to venture out on!

This game is one to try if you are a fan of past Pokemon games or are interested in experiencing a new kind of journey in an open world!
