TV Show Review - The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself
Slight Spoilers Ahead
Recently, the topic of witches has been a constant with shows on Netflix; however, this show is one to take the crown.
The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself was released on Netflix as a loose adaptation of the book Half-Bad. The show features amazing acting, a great script and some decent CGI.
The main character, Nathan, is a half-blood, a child of a Fairborn witch and a blood witch, two types of witches that have had a nasty history due to Nathan’s father’s actions. The setting takes place over several areas of Europe, namely the UK and France and features some hidden magic found in every area.
Magic in this show has a lot more devastating effects than some others. One character, Annalise, possesses the power of decimation, which has caused some rather graphic moments of people slowly being ripped apart. If that tells you anything, it should note that this show is not for the light of heart.
This show is perfect to watch if you are looking for a fun new show to check out and aren’t one for the upcoming Christmas movies. Give it a look and hopefully, a second season comes from it!
