LGBTQ Students Experience on Campus

LGBTQ Students Experience on Campus

USC Aiken has thrown events to promote student engagement on campus. There are organizations created to serve as a safe space for students to be themselves and provide a support group.

When asked about USC Aiken's effort to be inclusive, Taylor Green states that:

"USC Aiken is trying to be more inclusive on campus. On campus, there needs to be more representation for our community. We might see a flyer once in a while on a random bulletin board, but there should be more events for the LGBTQ community."

She further explained how the university fails to host events for LGBTQ students.

" We might see a flyer on a random bulletin board once in a while, but there should be more events for the LGBTQ community, for example, ICE credits. The main ice credits available on campus are the health center, BSU, or the arts."

Overall, USC Aiken is trying to be inclusive but should note all marginalized groups within students.
