Planetarium Show Announcement: "Mystery of the Christmas Star"
This Christmas season, the Ruth Patrick Science Education Center’s DuPont Planetarium will be hosting their show “Mystery of the Christmas Star.” After each showing, planetarium guests can visit the RPSE Observatory if the weather permits. The USC Aiken website describes the show:
Journey back over 2000 years as we seek to discover a scientific explanation for the star that the wise men followed to Bethlehem. See incredible images of supernovae, comets, planetary conjunctions and other celestial phenomena. This show won five Telly Awards and is sure to charm and captivate audiences.
The show will be held at 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m on every Saturday in December. All showings of “Mystery of the Christmas Star” are ICE events. Planetarium tickets cost $6.50 for general public adults and $2.00 for USC Aiken students, faculty and staff members. Full pricing and discounts can be found on the university website. This holiday season, come earn an ICE event and celebrate Christmas at the planetarium by attending the show “Mystery of the Christmas Star.”
