Valentines Recipe: Garlic Butter Linguine with Salmon Bites
For Valentine’s weekend I told my boyfriend that he could have whatever he wanted for dinner. Since he’s been so into pasta lately, I’m not at all surprised that he chose salmon and pasta.
I automatically knew that I didn’t want to make alfredo because it’s basic and I’ve done it before. After looking around on TikTok I found two recipes that I felt comfortable blending together
Ingredients used:
Salmon
Linguine noodles
Spinach
Heavy cream
Grated Parmesan cheese
Seasonings: Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, Old Bay and salt
Olive oil
Minced garlic (I use the squeezable bottle)
Butter
Instructions:
The salmon that I purchased was pre-filleted, so I had to cut it up into bite sized cubes
Season salmon bites with garlic powder, onion powder and Old Bay seasoning
I started off adding olive oil and about a squeeze of minced garlic into a hot pan and after the garlic begins to sizzle, throw salmon bites in
Fill a medium sized pot with water, add in a couple pinches of salt and allow it to come to a boil, once it begins boiling, you’ll be able to put in your linguine noodles
When the salmon is finished cooking, it’ll become a lighter pink color and you’ll know that it’s okay to take out and sit to the side
Without washing out, add butter and more minced garlic into the same pan and once it’s melted down you can add in your spinach and sauté until wilted
Once spinach I wilted, you can add in about half a cup of heavy cream. I didn’t use exact measurements but I know that I didn’t want the pasta too creamy so I added as needed
Begin to add in Parmesan cheese to your own liking, I wanted mine cheesy so I added in a handful and stirred it in until it became a sauce
Add in Italian seasoning to your liking
By now the noodles are finished cooking so I add them into the sauce filled pan and mix them around so that they’re coated
After allowing the linguine to become covered, add your cooked salmon back on top
In the end I added sprinkles of Old Bay and parsley.
