Recipe: Baked spaghetti
It’s still cold and I’m still bitter, but I’m in the mood for spaghetti. Baked spaghetti, that is.
Ingredients:
-1 box of thick spaghetti noodles
-1 lb. of ground beef
-1 onion, diced
-1 green bell pepper, diced
-1 can of sliced mushrooms
-2 garlic cloves, minced
-1 can of Ragu (I prefer the meat flavor, but you get what sauce you like)
-1 cup of grated Parmesan
-1 cup of shredded Mozzarella
-1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
(we like a lot of cheese in my house, sue me)
-Tablespoon of olive oil
-Tablespoon of Italian seasoning
-Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
First start by adding your olive oil, onion, and garlic to a deep frying pan on medium to high heat.
Once the onions are transparent you can add in your ground beef.
As the beef is browning keep stirring, adding in your peppers and mushrooms.
Once the beef is completely browned add in your sauce and seasonings.
In a separate pot start cooking your noodles in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes until they’re done, strain and set aside.
Take the sauce down to a medium low heat and keep stirring.
Add in your parmesan, mozzarella, and drained noodles to the sauce and stir, coating everything evenly.
In a deep baking dish spray a nonstick cooking oil to the bottom, add in your spaghetti, and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes, for the pasta to fully warm and cheese on top to fully melt.
