Kali Uchis Red Moon In Venus Review
Over time this Latin female artist has grown in the music industry and has now released her third studio album.
Kali Uchis has been in the music world since she was a child but wasn’t discovered until 2013 by Snoop Dogg. Before being signed she was an independent artist and created an EP called Por Vida in 2015. She then released her first debut album in 2018 called Isolation which Tiktok helped bring more fame to her from her song “Dead To Me”. Kali then released her second album in spanish called “Sin Miedo” catching even more popularity from her song “Telepatia”.
On March 3, 2023 Kali Uchis released the first part of her album “Red Moon In Venus”. The album includes 15 songs. On Apple Music it is categorized in the genre of RnB/Soul but throughout the album there’s a bit of neo-soul, Latin, pop, retro and alternative. Although the album is predominantly an English album she adds her bilingual lyricism into many songs such as “Como Te Quiero Yo” and “Hasta Cuando”.
A known fact about the album is that Kali wrote every song on the album with no help. She enjoys writing her own music because it creates a bigger connection. One song from the album that shows a lot of passion and the true aura of Kali Uchis is “I Wish You Roses”. This was the intro for her new album. The song tells a story of how somebody from your past such as an ex could have ended things on bad terms ,but you always wish them well or as Kali said “I Wish You Roses”.
Overall the album was produced and put together phenomenally. Telling a story of romance, passion, and meaningfulness throughout the album. As Kali Uchis stated this is only phase one of the album which is in English. Her next album is already finished and will be her second Spanish album.
